Neil Young Concert
Seeing a band you enjoy, can be exciting and an exhilarating thing to do.
Thursday night we attended the Neil Young concert, certainly was a nostalgic three hours and a walk down memory lane.
Going on 67 years of age, this old rocker in his plaid shirt, still remains vibrant and vital and continues to pull massive crowds, five decades into his impressive career. { I apologise that the photos are not very clear, but were taken with the iphone}
Don't know if it is my age bracket, but I found the music extremely loud, as we were seated in the second row. Many times I had to put my fingers in my ears, like I saw so many others around me doing the same thing. I had tinnitus for a while after and note to self, if I ever go to another concert, maybe I will have a pair of earplugs in my pocket.
Overall a fun night out and great to see so many young ones there in the mosh pit, along with some of us seated, that remembered him back in our high school days!
Hope that you are enjoying the weekend
hugs
Carolyn

Lucky you, Carolyn! I love Neil Young, always have. My parents saw him in concert in the 1980s and thought it was wonderful. I wanted to see him last year, but the tickets were out of my price range at the time. Hopefully, someday. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I almost always wear ear plugs at concert. I think they make it sound better--They just clarify the sound somehow.
'Glad you had a good time. :)
So fun ewening with a concert,
ReplyDeleteremember some of his songs.
Happy weekend Carolyn

ReplyDeleteDearest Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteOh, I haven't been to the concert for a log while. Although I don't know the rocker, you must have had a fun time♡♡♡
I do have trouble with my years and need to wear ear-aid when I teach at home(^^;) Take Care of your tinnitus (hehe, new word for me) which I have all he time p;)
Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*

What a fabulous concert. I would have had a problem if it was loud, too. I'll have to remember this! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like fun, Carolyn. Glad you had a wonderful evening. I would be like you and want the ear plugs. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend!
xoxo
Sweet blessings to you!
ReplyDeleteNeat that you got to go to a concert.
I would have been right there with you plugging my ears. I'm 57 and the decibel level can only go so loud, but I'm okay with that.
Hope you had fun,
d
Carolyn I alwayes also loved Neil Young ,it is amazing he is still going strong!
ReplyDeleteI can imagine you having Tinitus after the consert, I have also experiensed that after a concert last year, with a danish musician!! I think you are right that it is partly our age, but also the loud is far to high, and many young people have their hearing spoild because of that!
Hugs,and happy weekend, dear.

ReplyDeleteYou are a brave lady my friend...I have only been to a couple of concerts and they were totally overwhelming...and I was young when I went...I don't think that I would do well in one now that I am older. Hee, Hee, Hee. I am glad you had a fun time :-) Have you had any more rain? Hope you have a wonderful new week.

Hi Ana,
DeleteNo we still have not had any decent rain, we had a little shower one day. We have needed to buy three tanker loads of water this summer.
