Hello dear friends, I hope you are having a wonderful week.
I have always daydreamed about this gorgeous place and last week my dream came true.
We left Auckland last Thursday afternoon and crossing the International dateline we arrived at our destination Tahiti, and it was still Wednesday there.
Getting off the airplane, the balmy night heat hits you, and the jackets we had worn over were not going to be needed here. We were greeted at the airport with romantic and moving music,
accompanied by singing, with strumming from the guitar and ukuleles.
The moment you arrive, a heavenly lei of frangipani, tiare blossom and orchids are placed around your shoulders before we were transported away to our hotel.
We stayed one night on the main land at Papaeete and this is the view we woke up to, early the next day.
I have started sorting through all my photos from our trip and would like to share with you.
Tomorrow I will bring you Bora Bora.
Hope you have a beautiful weekend
Hugs
Carolyn

ReplyDelete*Sigh* we haven't taken a vacation like that in 12 years, didn't even take a honeymoon, ever since we've had doggies, no one to care for them and a week was/is too long to keep them in a kennel . . .
The weekend is upon us! Enjoy!
xoxo

I wouldn't want to wake from this dream Carolyn! I am so happy that you had such a wonderful time on holiday.
ReplyDeleteI always love reading about where you get to visit. I am not much of a traveler, but I adore seeing where others get to go. Once a very long time ago when I was expecting my third daughter I went and stayed a week with my best friend who was living in Hawaii. I thought I had died and gone to Heaven : )
hugs from here...
What a gorgeous view!
ReplyDeleteMy mom wasn't photographer, I asked her to take me the photos and she agreed. ♥ Of, it's a pity you haven't a facebook, of course I'm following you back. Let me know when you will add new post :).
