Thank you all so very much for your sweet and kind words, with my Mother having to go to the hospital.
Sadly on Sunday evening she fell, while going to the bathroom and fractured her hip so we were really disappointed this happened. She went into surgery this morning and we are so grateful that the operation seemed to go well and she is now back in the ward resting.
It will be a long hard road to get her mobility back again, so we are hoping that she will make a good recovery.
Hope you are having a wonderful week
Hugs
Carolyn

So sorry to hear about your mom. Getting her up and moving is the trick. My mom is 93 and in the past years broke both hips about 2 years apart and had both replaced. After the first one we made sure that when we visited her she was up and moving. She sort of gave up after the second one and uses a wheelchair now exclusively. Sad to see since she was always active.
ReplyDeleteGive your mom a hug and lots of encouragement.
Hi Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteI will definitely be saying some prayers for your mom's difficult recovery. I hope it will be a swift one.

ReplyDeleteMissed your previous post, must have happened when the power was off due to thunderstorms and I did not go back to your post again...
So sorry to read about a primary and now a huge secondary problem. One never knows what is around the bend with our aging parents. Good news is that her surgery went well. She will recover but things take time at that age.
Hugs to you all,
