The weekend

Dear friends,

Sorry I have not been around here, as there is so much going on in my life.
On Monday we went down to visit my Mother, who was not very well with a cold and chest infection. It was so lovely to see her and she was happy to see us.
Today though she has been admitted to the hospital with what looks like pneumonia, so my family are all feeling very sad at this time.

We are also helping our daughter move into a gorgeous old Villa in the City.
She is moving in with some lovely friends and has a beautiful room.
Last night we went bed shopping with her and today took a load of boxes across, in the car ferry.
Isn't it always such a big job and tiring moving house.
We are going to miss her very much but will be good for her to be living in the City and to not have to commute daily for work on the ferry.

I just want to say how much I appreciate your friendship and will come and visit you soon.

Hope that your weekend is going well.
Hugs
Carolyn

  3. Dearest Carolyn,

More important is that you tend to your loved ones first! Let's hope and pray that your dear Mom will get over this. For elderly it is tough to make it past winter and well into spring. Your daughter will handle this a lot better, not much to worry; just work for now.

    Lots of love,

    Mariette

  8. Thinking of you Carolyn - and hope your dear Mum is soon on the mend and back home - what a worry for you. I know the feeling when a daughter move out of the family home and leaves that empty room.

  9. And sweet Carolyn, you came to see me last night, and I appreciate that so much! I DO HOPE YOUR MOTHER will recovery swiftly and bring you job with her sweet smile, I am sure. And your daughter....oh it has to be hard to see them fly away....being a teacher, I always need a box of tissues on the last day of school as we watch them get on the bus to start their summer vacations....I cry my eyes out. I cannot imagine seeing off your baby. Be well my dear, think of the healing aroma of the beach air, and dream....it does help!
