Audrey Hepburn

One of my favourite movies, is Breakfast at Tiffany's ~ for the style, humour and romance.
Audrey Hepburn was one of the most influential females and leaves a lasting impression, with her floating around in the most exquisite Givenchy gowns.
She epitomized Fashion with her pearls, fabulous hats, ballet flats, and silk scarves.

The song "Moon River" was written especially for Audrey Hepburn.

"I love people who make me laugh.
I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh.
It cures a multitude of ill's. It's probably the most important thing in a person"
~ Audrey Hepburn
This photograph of her looking in Tiffany's is fabulous ~ do you think she has her eye on a gorgeous diamond ring?

Just looking at the iconic robin's egg blue box, makes one's heart flutter, without even knowing what is inside.
"Pick the day. Enjoy it ~ to the hilt.
The day as it comes. People as they come....
The past, I think has helped me appreciate the present~ and I don't want to spoil any of it by fretting about the future" ~ Audrey Hepburn

Happy week, to all and thank you for your friendship and love.
Hugs
Carolyn

  21. Blessings Carolyn!
Watching Audrey in movies is an enjoyable thing for me...I like her voice.

She is delightful to see in a variety of movies and I have liked them all.

I think I need to rent My Fair Lady and watch it along with Breakfast At Tiffanys. I can't think of the name of the film where she plays the part of a blind woman and someone comes to her apartment to harm her. Will have to look that one up on google.

She was a very classy woman and it's neat to be able to view her films which capture her charm.

Thank you so very much for the prayers. August 5th I have surgery.

  22. Hi Carolyn,
Love this post. My grandma and I used to watch Gardens of the World hosted by Audrey on Sunday afternoons. Such a lady of grace and giving. It has always stuck with me, what Audrey said about hunger, for a slim figure, share your food with the hungry! People like Audrey, come along once in a very blue Moon.

  23. Hi Carolyn,
Do you know I've always wished I could be Audrey? She had such style and grace and was cute as a pixie. I saw Breakfast at Tiffany's recently after some time and quite enjoyed it. I guess I'll just go on dreaming that I could be here...sigh.

  33. Such a pretty post! I know every word to the song Moon River as my older sister was a piano and voice student and she loved practicing this song, but I have to admit I have never seen the movie. I have seen numerous snippets over the years, but never the whole film. Okay, Okay I know I MUST see it and I thank you for reminding me.
