To all the Mothers out there

At this time, I just want to remember all the Mothers out there and my own dear Mother and Mother in law.
Happy Mothers Day!
I wonder, if it will be breakfast in bed for you, ( did your children do that? mine did) maybe flowers, or pampering at the beauty spa, chocolates, or a lovely card saying thank you.
There is something so sweet and beautiful between the bond of a Mother and her baby.
It is one of the hardiest and most rewarding jobs, that one will have to do.
As I have grown older, I have come to appreciate my Mum more and more for her love, wisdom she has shared and shown me. Thank you Mum, for all your love, support and advice you have given me.
I find there are moments when I catch myself saying something, doing something, thinking something and I realise, Ooops .... I am like my Mother.

I wish you all a very wonderful weekend
Hugs
Carolyn

  1. Hello Carolyn...
I wish you the happiest Mother's Day.
Hope you can spend it with as much of your family as you can...
Such a lovely tribute you have given to your own mother.

My hubby surprised be today...I thought he had left for work. Instead, he came back about 20 min. later, rang the doorbell (odd) and came in with a beautiful flower arrangement...I was thrilled!

    Have a wonderful weekend!
    Hugs, Nancy

  4. Carolyn-What beautiful images! I think being a mother helps us appreciate our own moms. I have lost both my mother and MIL--I don't think you ever get too old to need them. My daughter has invited us to brunch at her house!! Hope yours is wonderful too :)

  12. Dearest Caroly, you found very touching words for mothers day! I hope you will have a wonderful day tomorrow - enjoy it! (I am sure I will get no breakfast in my bed but a nice breakfast with flowers... at the living-room-table... What a pitty that the weather is not so good in Austria at the moment - I would like a mothersday-breakfast in the garden...)
Lots of hugs to you, yours Traude

  37. Carolyn, this is such a warm and beautiful tribute!Unfortunately, I do not have a chance to see my Mom as often as I want. She lives back in Russia. The distance between us made me realize how precious our time together is...
Thank you so very much for your kind and supportive comment under my "Worst Monday" post.A week later, I am still recovering from it: do not know what I am upset more about - a stitched lip or my broken Prada shoe. Things like this do not happen to me often, not to mention all at once!It was a rough week all together. I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day filled with love and joy.:-)
