I love the Eiffel Tower.
Just standing in under this magnificent structure made my heart beat a little faster.
It was amazing seeing the complex lattice work as we walked up each step and going higher and higher until we looked down at the wonderful view, over this magical City.
All the nuts and bolts that had gone into this huge structure, reminded me of the days when we used to play with my brothers meccano set.
This Landmark evokes such romantic and happy memories.

I really want to say thank you for all the beautiful comments that you left for me and it has made me feel better after my watch and ring incident.
I want to share this with you ~
A friend Anya, left me this beautiful note ....She said in Russia they actually believe that if something of a great value is lost, it means that something of even greater value will come later on in life. This made me feel better, thank you Anya.
Wishing you a very happy day.
Hugs
Carolyn

Have you ever seen Paula Deen on TV? She wears enormous diamond rings while cooking. I cringe every time I see it; I would never cook with rings on...so easy for them to drop off.
ReplyDeleteThat was a lovely thought from Anya...
Thank you for your comment on my blog today. It's wonderful to visit your beautiful blog!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back to Sweden ;)
Agneta
I just love those old Paris photos...wish http://www.roger-viollet.fr/Home.aspx would come out with a book! Sorry about your bit of bad luck...I agree, you're due for a batch of good luck soon. XO Trish

What is the fascination with the Eiffel Tower!? I have it TOO! When I found those two frames today there was another frame there with more photos of the Eiffel Tower but I refrained from buying that one!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely sentiment, Carolyn, I hope it comes true!
xxoo
Hi Carolyn!
ReplyDeleteI'm catching up on several posts of yours here...
First of all, I want to congratulate Victoria on her award, her new job and passing her driving test! You MUST be a proud Mum!!!! :)
Then I'm sorry to hear about your diamond. How sad. Will you get it replaced? The sad part about it is, I'm sure it's still lying where ever it fell as it will be hard to find a diamond. However, it might have fallen some where in the house so be sure to check your vacuum bag closely!!!
About the watch...wow girl...that was expensive to repair. Was the watch that expensive to begin with? I have no idea as I'm not too much into fashion...but that's a lot of money! whew!
And lastly, I so agree with your feelings about the Eiffel Tower. It's so amazing to stand under it, at the top of it and just riding in the glass elevator. The feeling is almost indescribable...it was my favorite part of visiting Paris!
I wanted to thank you for your sweet comment you left on my "blogging for newbies" post. I totally agree with the tip on just getting out there...that's what they need to do!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend and no more bad luck comes your way.
Carolyn-I have never seen it and would so love to see it! I am so sorry about your ring. The exact same thing happened to me. I had been doing a five mile "race for the cure" walk and discovered it was gone when I got home. I had to remind myself that "things" can be replaced and people cannot. Take care :)
ReplyDeleteHi Marsha,
ReplyDeleteJust looking up at the Tower and standing in under it was an amazing thing to do.
Something I have wanted to do since a little Girl.
Thanks for your visit.
Hi Jodie,
Thanks for your visit and kind words you left, dear friend.
I appreciate your friendship and you always have so much to share.
Yes, I am sure I will get it replaced it was not very big and I have checked the dyson vacuum cleaner.
Hi Susan,
I hope that you will get to Paris.
Sorry the same thing happened to you.
I do not think it is in the house, have looked everywhere.
More than likely it could be outdoors when I was picking olives or even when I go on my daily morning walk.
You are so right with saying that things like this can be replaced and people cannot. That is exactly how I feel.
Hugs
Carolyn
