Award, pansies, window boxes, olives
I spent Saturday replanting the window boxes at the front of the house, with white pansies. They give me much pleasure when I look through the windows.
We have been picking olives again this weekend and took them to the place where they will be pressed, so hopefully we will have some lovely bottles of our own olive oil, in a few weeks. I have been amazed at how much the birds have been making a feast of the olives, they must not mind the bitter taste of the olives, straight from the trees.
I have been awarded the Sunshine Award from Pat
kittilover.blogspot.com
Many thanks Pat ~ I would like to Award this to everyone, because we all need sunshine in our life. As so many of my blog friends, are blog free and already have this award, please feel free to add it to your blogs, if you would like it.
We really could do with some rain, here on Waiheke Island, where I live ~ we have had 4 months of glorious weather and still no rain. I wonder if we are going to have a wet winter ahead?
I hope that you are having a lovely weekend, filled with joy and happiness and the sun shines for you.
Hugs
Carolyn

Carolyn-I love white pansies! Soon it will bea too hot for them here. I am so happy Victoria found a job--she looks so cute! I just can't imagine picking olives! I know nothing about how they grow. I just assumed they would be at least edible straight off the tree. Take care--I'll do a rain dance for you :)
ReplyDeleteDearest Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteI have had some catching up to do with your blog. Time gets away from me and before I know it the week has gone. Some weeks fly by faster than others!
Hope you had a wonderful Easter. We did. The buns looked awesomely delicious.
CONGRATS to your sweet daughter and finding this new job. May it go very well.
The flower box is lovely and I can see how this gives you hours of happiness seeing these flowers just outside your window. I think the metal holder is great.
AND olives!!! they are soooo good and good for us.
God bless you and may all your dreams come true,
d
Hi Susan,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit and your kind words.
No, olives from the tree are very bitter and not nice.
I picked another bucket today and this time I was perched on a ladder getting the ones at the top.
Oh and thanks for the rain dance.
Lovely to have a visit from you Deanna, thank you for your kind words and friendship.
It is so lovely to have a blog friend like you.
