Seasonal changes
Yoo hoo! loved this photo, a friend sent me
There's always one in every holiday snap.
Graphics Fairy.
You don't stop laughing because you grow old.
You grow old because you stop laughing.
The weather is changing fast here, the days are getting shorter and it is dark and cold when we get up in the morning.
Daylight saving will be coming soon and before we know it ~ winter will be here!
The weather seems to have gone from summer to what felt like winter, overnight.
Wearing only a summer skirt and blouse, when I went to town yesterday, I was really wishing I had taken a jacket.
Thanks for visiting me today and I wish you a wonderful weekend ahead.
Hugs
Carolyn

Hello Carolyn!! It still seems so strange to me to think of you all having the opposite seasons that we do...although right now we probably have similar weather as our early Springs are quite cool here. Hope you're doing good!! LOVED that first photo!
ReplyDeleteHugs ~
:) T
Oh sweetie! It allways sounds so crazy: And we had the first warm day today... only 2 degrees Celsius in the morning, but about 16 degrees and lots of sun in the afternoon.
ReplyDeleteMy (retired) ex-boss sent a postcard to our office - from his holidays in New Zealand! (We got it yesterday. He wrote that he loves it there.) I hope one day I also will be able to make this long trip to your pretty country "on the other side of the world"...
I send lots of hugs to you - and thanks for your wonderful lines about the "laughing-theme" :o)
yours Traude
Pretty cute photos, Carolyn! Thanks for the giggle.

... And before we know it... SUMMER will be here!!!! Hooray!!! I'm really tired of this COLD COLD winter!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a mild one.
Monicax.
LOL, I needed that today!
ReplyDeleteWell, it would seem you're getting into your fall and we're heading into spring. It's almost flip flop weather here!!
xxoo
Carolyn-Love the pictures! My oldest son is always the "one" is all of our photos. It appears it happens even in nature :)! It is so hard to think that we are experiencing opposite seasons. I am so glad for longer days and warmer weather here. I love winter, but I have had enough! Take care!
ReplyDeleteHi Tracey,
ReplyDeleteYes, it does seem strange that we will soon be going into opposite Seasons.
I love the first photo and it is so often how kids, play up to the camera.
I am doing well thanks and I hope all is going well for you.
Hi Traude,
That is lovely that your boss is enjoying his holiday in NZ.
I hope that one day you will be able to make the journey downunder.
Thanks for you visit Donna and I look forward to coming to say hello to you.
Thank you Monica, our Summers are pretty mild here on the Island and we are lucky, for that.
You must be looking forward to Summer after all the snow and cold.
Enjoy.
Oh yeah Marsha, flip flop weather!
Glad that the weather will be warming up for you. Hope all is going well with the job hunting.
I have my fingers crossed, dear friend.
Hi Susan,
My Grandfather used to love taking photos and there would always be someone pulling a face, out of the family group photos. If it wasn't a cousin, it would be one of us.
We hated the sessions.
Hugs
Carolyn
Well hello there Carolyn!
ReplyDeleteIt's always such a pleasure to visit you my dear friend!..,
My, I got such 'a hoot' from your pictures; especially that precious seal in the lower right foreground with the penguins!
Do 'bundle up' and stay warm dear; it's always so intriguing to me, how when the weather is warming up in one part of the world, in another, it's quite literally, 'the polar opposite'!..,
Do feel most warmly welcome to also pop over and visit 'my little corner of the blogging world'!
Cheer and hugs from Wanda Lee @ The Plumd Pen
It will be warm again before you know it. I love these days when the weather can't seem to make up its mind. Keeps you on your toes.
ReplyDeleteThat penguin photo always makes me laugh!
Thank you so much Wanda, for your visit today.
ReplyDeleteLovely to hear from you and I look forward to coming to say hello to you.
Hi Bella,
The penguin photo is cute and made me smile ~ the seal is just like a little kid.
I am actually liking the cooler weather, the grass everywhere is a brown colour and we need rain so much.
Hugs
Carolyn
MOTH will so love this pic Carolyn! He became a seal lover when he was diving professionally. They used to be his only companions while he was underwater for hours at a time & he says they love a game!
ReplyDeleteMillie ^_^

ReplyDeleteHi Millie,

Seals do look like sweet animals and how neat that Moth was able to see them and play with them, when out diving.
thanks Deanna for your visit ~ our weather is topsy turvey and felt like we were actually going to miss out on Autumn ~ will see what it does tomorrow.
Hi Koralee,

Oh your poor dog, being scared with your laugh - sorry.
I love all seasons too, we do not get snow here, but it can get cold, which I love... wearing a big coat and hat and going out in it.

Thank you so much Susan.
Winter has not arrived, we are back to a hot, warm day and I am wearing shorts around the house.

Dear Christina,
Thanks for visiting me today, sweet friend.
Our weather is so changeable here, and others round the world have said the same where they live.
Oh well, can't do much about it, but enjoy whatever comes your way.

Thanks for your visit Stefani.

Carolyn
Yes, it is strange that we are already experiencing summer temps here while your days are getting shorter, our's are getting longer. Our time doesn't change so when we go to the STates and find it is still daylight at 10 pm in some areas, it really is an adjustment. Stay warm and enjoy the changing of the seasons. Many blessings, Tammy
ReplyDeletewow! I', loving the penguins. oh btw, have you read that headline article at yahoo about the rare all black penguin? He's got strong melanine even on the chests so that he was balck entirely and he's got monster feet. :)
ReplyDeletelove this post.
Where do you live Carolyn? Do you live in New Zealand? Our winters seem to last forever here. I love your images and that quote is a favorite of mine.
ReplyDeleteHave a gorgeous weekend- wishing beautiful sunshine!syclex

Hi Carolyn, Sure love those pics and quotes.
ReplyDeleteWe are trying to begin Spring, but today on the first day the temps are freezing and a little snow tonight on the roof tops. Can you believe the winter we have had here in Texas and also around the U.S. Very different season for sure, but we are hopeful for Spring coming. March just wants to be difficult!!
I hope your days are wonderful with your winter on the way.
Thank you for stopping by. I have finished my bathroom remodel and plan to share in a post this week.
Back to the studio for me.
Have a great weekend and blessings always.

Dear Celestina Marie,
I really would not of thought you would get snow in Texas, I always think of it been hot there all year round.

Penguins are just the cutest little critters. Did you see that movie a few years ago that featured the sweet birds? It was so fascinating, but what an existence they live!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like our weather patterns are changing in opposite directions.
Have a great weekend Carolyn!
Thank you Sares, and I hope that you are having a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteNo I did not see the movie, but saw the shorts and would like to see it one day, - looked like a lot of fun.
Your colour choice of paint is great and I wish you the very best with your new shop.

ReplyDeleteDo you know what the weather is like over here?
We are going through extreme drought.
The farmers are taping/tying green cellophane paper over their cows' eyes so that when the cows look at the brown, dead grass, they will see green! And eat the grass anyway! And guess what, it is crazy but it's working! :)
Hi Charity,
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for your visit.
Sorry that you are having a drought and how awful for the poor old cows and animals.
We are going through a drought here too. We have not had rain for about 4 months and a lot of my plants are dying.
We have had to buy four tanker loads of water, this Summer.
Hugs
Carolyn
