Well sadly the family of birds have flown the nest before we could take a photo.
Marcel had to climb a tree to take the photo of the nest and the Mother bird sitting on the eggs. If you look closely you can see her there, she blends in well with the house.
As it is on the second floor of our house and please excuse the cobweb, that you can see.
Note to self, get the ladder and take down the nest and clean the windows and cobwebs.
I went out to get the mail yesterday and I saw three tiny birds flying about in the trees tweeting and chirping. What I think it tells me, you do need to take photos when you get the chance.
I was delighted to receive this sweet blog award from Marsha of

Hi Charity,
I was sad that we had not taken a photo before they left.
The Mother bird was so cute and quiet, getting worms and bugs from the garden and right near to where I was standing.
thank you dear Ni, always great to have a visit from you.
Hi Koralee,
It is a great book and to have the illustrations drawn by Fifi, and signed by her, makes it even more special.
Hi TattingChic,
Oh no the nest is not empty, take another look and the bird is sitting on the nest.
Hi Renee,
I know the cobweb is there and thought just in case others noticed I would face up that I had not been doing my cleaning.
Thank you Susie and lovely to hear from you.
Hi Mandy,
I probably will leave the nest up there as it might be good for another year and another new family?
Hi June,
Many thanks for visiting and yes, cobwebs do seem to come back just after you have cleaned them off.
Oh well, nevermind.

I love that picture of the birdie sitting on her tidy nest. Doesn't it make you feel so good watching and waiting for the babies?
ReplyDeleteHave a great day, Carolyn.
Sharon :-)
Hi Sharon,
ReplyDeleteIt was fun watching the bird sitting patiently on the eggs and only going to get some food for herself.
Then when the baby birds hatched she would get something for them to eat and look after them.
