Waiheke Island

We were out going for a Sunday afternoon drive and I just thought I would share a few photos of our lovely beaches on the Island.
The first two are of Onetangi Beach and then Oneroa beach where there were a lot of people on boats and yachts enjoying the Summer sun.

Also the other is of the Pohutakawa tree, a Native to NZ, which flowers at Christmas time.

Enjoy your weekend.

Hugs
Carolyn

  1. Wow, gorgeous blue's in the photos Carolyn. It's been a beautiful day here today, a bit hot but comfortable for a change. Heaps of rain yesterday for a change so a good excuse to sew all day. Hope Mum and Dad are well.

  2. Hi Carolyn,
The beaches on your island look just beautiful. No wonder you love your part of the world. Isn't that amazing you have been to Lake Louise? We are off to England in September, but Canada is definitely next on my "to do" list - When the Bank Manager says I "can do" I mean!!!

    Hugs,
    Christine.

The bears are having a big sleep after eating too much over Christmas. They love marzipan!

  10. Hi Paula,

I do wish that you could be on one of our beaches right now. We have a high of 26 and the sky is blue.

I sympathise with you as Victoria has shared with us - how cold it is, walking off to Uni in the snow and it was 7 below.
She will never ever complain how cold it is over here now.

Good weather for bear making though.
    Stay warm, Carolyn

  12. It would be lovely if you could get here one day, Nancy.

The weather has been beautiful 26 - and we went to the beach for a swim.
Unfortunately I have got a little sunburnt, which is so stupid of me.

    Hugs
    Carolyn
