Moving on in 2009
Looking back over the past year has had it's ups and downs.
There have been a few things that have been hard but glad that we have got through it.
One of the biggies was our daughter Victoria going to London to do a semester at the Rochester University. Thank goodness for skype as most days we are able to talk to her for an hour a day, without any trouble I might add. Our first Christmas without her home and it is times like this, that we miss her. We are counting down the days when she will be back and be able to enjoy a little of our Summer.
The other was our much beloved pets. First Louie was run over by a car in the driveway next door and I found him, when I was going to take our dog for a walk.
Then Heidi our Giant Schnauzer who was over 13 years old was suffering from renal failure, so we had to say good bye to her.
We still miss them as they were such a big part of our family.
Then my dear Mother fell and broke her hip and ended up in hospital and my Dad had an operation for prostate cancer.
So leaving 2008 behind, I hope that 2009 will be a better year.
Hugs Carolyn
