High tea and a little of whats going on

Dear friends,

There is a lot going on around here and that is why I have not been around much on my blog.

We are planning to remodel our kitchen and there are lots of decisions to make, such as removing two windows to put in French doors that will lead out onto the deck.
We are talking to our friend who is an Architect and getting some helpful assistance from him.

I did have a lovely day out with my DD,  a little treat for our May birthdays - one could get very used to high tea and we both enjoyed spending the afternoon playing Ladies, sipping champagne and enjoying savouries and sweet treats.
The Master tea Sommelier helped us to select the perfect blend of tea from the exquisite selection of teas, all served on the finest Wedgewood China. The whole occasion was lovely and was hard to pick which delectable one to eat first.

There is something in the nature of tea, that leads us into a world of quiet contemplation of life
~Lin Yutang, The Importance of living

I hope that you are enjoying your weekend and taking some time out.
We have a wintery and rainy one here and it is a good time to be cozy indoors.
It is always a pleasure when you stop by and thanks for taking the time to comment - I hope to sit down and visit you soon and see how you are doing.

hugs
Carolyn

  11. Carolyn, Your tea day;) sounds like it was absolutely delightful. Regarding the remodel, we put in the French doors (off the kitchen and leading to the backyard) in and absolutely love them. In fact it is morning here and my husband just opened them:) The process of renovation s tough but so worth all the effort. Lots of decision making! Have fun with it:) xxleslie

  16. Dearest Carolyn,
What a lovely time for Mother & Daughter to spend together over High Tea.
Your remodeling of the kitchen will only need time for completing and you will enjoy it afterwards; not during the works but we all have to accept that.
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  22. French doors to the deck will be lovely. I enjoy having high tea -- don't do it often enough. Of course, we don't get champagne with ours. That would make it even nicer. :) Good luck with the renovations. Tammy
