Out in the garden

Victoria magazine
KML & Design

Today the weather could not have been more different from yesterday.
It is raining and I am very happy for the rain, we are having as it will help my new plants grow well.

Yesterday, we took a visit to the Garden Center... now for a while this has been disappointing and I have not being inspired by the stock, which seems to be in short supply.
It has been taken over by a new Manager, ( for my NZ friends, he was on Maggies Garden show) and walking around the new look Garden shop, I was so happy.
There are a wonderful selection of plants, topiaries and feel really inspired to get back out in the garden.
We bought some lavenders, to replace some that were old and woody, petunias for the window boxes and some fresh herbs, to plant. My DH has the herb garden which he tends to.
I really love cooking with herbs and there is nothing like walking outside the door and picking a bouquet of fresh herbs from the garden.

I was hoping to take some photos of the garden, but the rain prevented me doing this, so I shared some pictures from my Victoria magazine.

I want to thank you very much for your sweet comments you leave for me, you are so kind.
Look forward to coming to say hello to you.
Hope that you are enjoying your weekend

  1. Beautiful photos :)
Our garden, friday: The ground was covered by snow !

  2. Trips to the garden center are my weakness, I'm afraid. Even more than in art stores, I just cannot contain myself and end up buying WAY more than I intended. Yay for your new plants! And Yay for the rains to nourish them!

Oooh, by the way. The photo of your mother in law as a little girl..... such an incredible treasure! Gorgeous!

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

  3. Ooh lovely to see Victoria magazine. I subscribed to it for years until publication ceased, I was devistated at the time.
I heard it was back but I've only ever seen one in Dymocks Nmkt ages ago - are you a subscriber Carolyn?

Your garden will be lovely and I agree with the fresh herbs - nothing nicer!
    Enjoy your week
