It's the weekend
It was such a gorgeous day today... one out of the box.
The sky was clear and blue, here are a few photos. The first one is where my dear husband and I went out to lunch, Wai Kitchen overlooks beautiful Oneroa Bay.
Because we have a long weekend here, Labour day is on Monday, the boats are moored and tourists have started to arrive and the place has suddenly got very busy. The wonderful weather attracts people and it is the place many people want to flock to
The pigeon pair - spotted the two wood pigeons again on my walk, sitting side by side on the power lines looking as if they were having a good old chat
Now to finish off, my beautiful rose has started blooming again so I was happy to put one in a vase and enjoy the sweet fragrance.
It's the weekend ~
Wishing you all a happy weekend
hugs
Carolyn

Your English Rose is stunning Carolyn. I was gifted two rose bushes for Mother's Day last year and I'm happy to say mine provided me with over a dozen pink blooms. Each one was so unique and the fragrance filled the entire room. They really are stunning, yes?!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely day you are having and perfect view for lunch!
It looks like you are in the right place for a wonderful weekend!

Just look at that beautiful blue sky, it is grey and raining in the UK. Wish I could hop on a plane and come for a visit! Enjoy the rest of the week xx
ReplyDeleteGoodness ... that does look a glorious location.
ReplyDeleteHope your weekend was special, I'm sure it was.
Thank you for leaving us a beautiful rose I can smell the scent from here ...
All the best Jan
Carolyn, your rose looks very different than the roses here. I just love this color, it's so soft and pretty. And one of the things I love about roses is that they withstand the harshest weather. Very sturdy flowers, indeed.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful week, Carolyn.
love, ~Sheri
Dearest Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteSorry, I'm trailing behind but I wish you a happy week!
But what a joy, also for me, to see spring evolving on your end of the world.
Such a joy to see the birds getting active and the first roses... So much to indulge in.
Our weather is still great but we have had some very cool nights and that makes it chilly in the morning and evening but today it was pleasant. I'd taken my short suede jacket with me to the Country club where we had a Low Country Boil from our bank as an annual appreciation for their customers. I was a bit late after my choir rehearsal but Pieter did get me a plate and I knew where I would find him and my reserved seat.
Sending you hugs from a 1st soprano voice and I'm really enjoying this.
Mariette
Hi again - thanks for your visit, darling!
