Not many words today, just some summer pictures taken at Noosa Heads
We enjoyed our short holiday very much.
Surfs up! swimming here was fun with waves of up to 2-3 metres high - here is a little video my DH took
After trying all afternoon to insert the video it did not seem to work for me so will just add a snap
Sandcastles left behind from children playing |
It is amazing how the tropical weather, wonderful sea air and swimming in the gorgeous sea, can do for oneself, we returned home refreshed and relaxed.
The apartment our friends kindly loaned us was on the ground floor of this lovely place right on the beach
The full moon was rising behind the palm trees |
Always love to go away for a little break but so happy about being back home again.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend - we have a long one this weekend as Monday is Auckland Anniversary day, so looking forward to another sleep in.
hugs
Carolyn
It's really hard to explain to some...how relaxing time on the beach is. Looks like you had lovely weather too! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteDear Carolyn,

Your friend is so nice to loan you the apartment:) I always dream of one day living in an apartment on the beach:) Enjoy your beach holidays:)
ReplyDeleteOh, how I wish I could enjoy some time by the water {{smiles}} It's all snow here, but soon it will melt and summer will be here at last :)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Sunday, my friend. Hugs!
I love Noosa and your photos are idyllic!
ReplyDeleteMy dearest lifetime friend from Brisbane phoned for a chat this morning - she was sitting on the verandah and said the heat and humidity is unbearable - did you have the same in Noosa?
Happy wedding anniversary - it's lovely that you had time away to celebrate!
Hugs
Shane

ReplyDeleteHere where I live it's all gray and rainy ... and that since a couple of weeks...

Oh, dearest Carolyn,
ReplyDeletethis looks really like wonderful holidays! Pure warm summer, ocean, beach - sigh... Here in Austria is "some kind of winter": Most of the days are warm like in early spring, but we already had snow and cold temperatures, too - just for one week or so... and then "spring" came back... I'm curious what February will bring to us! Hope you will have a wonderful time and a nice Auckland Anniversary day!
Lots of hugs, Traude

That must have been a nice vacation for you, Carolyn. I miss the ocean sometimes. A place to stay right on the beach; how nice of your friends to lend it to you. The sandcastles that the children made are special.
