We stopped off here, for a couple of days to break the journey and to explore a little of this fascinating place.
We waste no time in going out and the City streets are bustling with people rushing about their business, cars speeding by, people on pushbikes and the tall skyscrapers that reach up into the sky.
One of the most populated places on Earth and apparently it is recorded in the Guiness book of records for having the most skyscrapers. This was the view from the seventeenth floor of the Hotel where we were staying and overlooking Victoria harbour which was lovely but unfortunately the weather was wet so made it hard to take photos.
Hong Kong by night -was fun to watch the spectacular light show which beamed out a dazzling array of colourful lights everywhere.
Thankfully I am over the jet lag and then day light saving started in the weekend, so still waking up bright and early and getting back into a routine again.
Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday
Thank you for dropping by to see me and I look forward to coming to say hello to you.
hugs
Carolyn

ReplyDeleteWow, Hong Kong, Carolyn! It looks like the city is lively and bursting with energy, and the night is fun with the colorful light shows. How nice that you got to experience this, my friend. It's one place that the girls have never visited before in their travels.

Hello Carolyn, we break our journey on the way to and from Australia by staying in Hong Kong, so I know exactly what you mean about the sauna heat and the bustle. (Our son lives in Adelaide).
ReplyDeleteWe were lucky enough to be there for the Chinese New Year last time we went. It was so colourful and even busier if that’s possible!
Fascinating indeed! A completely different world...
ReplyDeleteI wonder how much (and in what direction) it has changed since going back to PRC.
Thank you for sharing the experience... :)
And thank you for coming by to visit me!
I hope you have a fantastic weekend, dear Carolyn...
Warm hugs,
~ Irina
