Raindrops keep falling on my head
We are getting a lot of rain here and loving it.
Where some might see storm clouds, we can only see a silver lining ... not only is it great for the garden it also fills up the watertanks and it is music to our ears, hearing the drip, drip, drip into the tank.
Mind you it was a quick dash this morning from the supermarket to the car, with the groceries and trying to dodge the puddles.
As the saying goes ' April showers bring May flowers'
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain
I like people, who smile when it's raining
This week really flew by - hope you have had a lovely week and now I wish you a happy weekend
hugs
Carolyn

Dear Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your water tanks are filling up! I love the posters, the pretty vase and the flowers Hope your weekend is going well.
Linda :)
I have mixed feelings about rain, we have mostly a lot of it during the year and I hate it when it takes the whole day.
ReplyDeleteA great reminder for us to dance in the rain! I have literally done that, but only once, I was so glad to see rain!! xx
ReplyDeleteRain is such a relief after long dry spells. So charming to see the Morton's Salt Girl. Memories of my Nanu and a tray she had in her kitchen with this picture on it!

Carolyn, We are finally having some rain which helps our flowers. I like it when the rain is gentle without the wind. Like this saying...Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
d
Dearest Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteWell, raindrops that's fine, we all can dodge them but we've had our share of heavy rain. The tulips that started budding when we left for Arizona on the 22nd, did actually rot away... So no bulbs left. This entire week we had heavy rain, except today, only cloudy. Tomorrow heavy thunderstorms and 90% chance of rain so on it goes. Hard to get anything done in the garden.
But yes, we better dance!
Sending you Sunday blessings and hugs,
Mariette
Hi Carolyn, I just love those vintage images....We have lots of rain here near Seattle and I always love to hear it pitter-pattering down the gutters. The air smells so fresh after a good rain, too. Wishing you a lovely Sunday and week ahead. Hugs xo K

Rain is great .... when you are indoors and can hear it pattering on the window pane. But yes we do need rain as much as we need sun.
