Shades of pink

Hello dear friends

Days have been busy here and I have been making the most of the sunny days, gardening and staining some outdoor steps and fence.

My rose continues to bloom and just want to share a little of this beauty with you. I adore the pretty pastel pink, the scent and the shape of the rose
We still have not had rain to speak of, had a small drizzly shower one day and would be happy to get some much needed rainfall.

The beautiful card was created by Dorthe,  isn't it lovely and sweet and many thanks for your kindness
The rose looks pretty when it is dried - against the backdrop of my calender, with pictures from around France - the little window with shutters is charming

Hope you are having a happy week.
Enjoy life, stay warm if you still have winter there and for those of us having a long hot summer, stay cool.
I look forward to coming over to say hello soon.

hugs
Carolyn

  1. Carolyn, that is one of the prettiest roses I've seen, and very unusual. It looks almost white around the edges with soft pink in the middle. The first flower is gorgeous too.

Thank you for your comment today on my "eyes" post. It was one of my favorites and I sincerely appreciate it.

    love to you, Carolyn,

  5. Hello Carolyn,

Your Rose looks very pretty. It is good when a Rose has it all, a beautiful form, heavenly scent, flowers profusely and dies gracefully. It looks as if yours has all these qualities and in this most wonderful shade of pale pink. Perfect!

  16. Hello dear Carolyn! So lovely to be back visiting...slowly coming out of my winter hibernation. ;)
Your roses are exquisite...we have a few months to go before any rose blooms appear, but it's always a celebration...that fragrance is beyond compare.
I hope you get more rain, and some relief from the heat soon.
Sending you love across the miles...

  20. I could crawl inside that rose. I love roses, all I see is snow.
I don't know how I got this sick, sneezing all day water like a faucet
and nose bleeds, cramps, headache, sore throat. AND MORE SNOW>
    I am losing it.

  22. Hi Carolyn, your pink rose is gorgeous and I love the dried one with the backdrop of the window and shutters. So French and beautiful.
Love the card that Dorthe created for you. She is so talented and the nicest blog friend ever. Enjoy your warm days of summer and stay cool while we stay warm. Our weather went from springlike days to ice and some snow. I'll be on a little getaway. See you soon.
    Hugs and Blessings. CM

  25. How I love roses. The blushing pink ones are so romantic, especially if they have perfume. I picked a hot pink rose called Best Friend, with a 56 cm stem, and had it in a bud vase for 10 days in 40 deg days before it dropped.
We are desperate for rain as well.
    Sending hugs.

  33. Dear Carolyn, I wish I could send you some rain – we have so much of it! It is trying to snow this morning, but the garden is beginning to look like spring with daffodils, snowdrops, primroses and the odd Christmas rose or two. I hope you get some much needed rain soon and maybe you could send us some of your sun :-) Have a happy week, Barbara x
