Stop the clock -giant metal dandelions |
Sunday was a gorgeous day and as it was the final day for viewing the Headland Sculptures we headed off early. With our water bottles and cameras we walked along the trail, with hundreds of others and it is such a good workout as it is about 2 kilometers.
Here are a few of my favourites that I would like to share with you
The Knot ~ A fence with tangles and knots |
We enjoy going to see the outdoor Sculpture Exhibition and it has to be one of the best coastal walks with spectacular water views everywhere you look.
Arrow and target - these were huge |
Flowers of the Sky |
Spinning top |
Interesting walking around in the mirror maze |
Landform You had to look back at this one, to see the whole effect of the contours |
The name's Bond ~ James Bond {had to have a selfie here} |
He took an X-ray and nothing showed up and explained that sometimes the Injection can give pain for a while. I am feeling much better today and hopefully on the 26th will be able to have the new crown fitted.
Do hope you have a great week and I look forward to coming over to visit you soon.
The weather has been a scorcher here today and makes it hard to do much on days like this.
hugs
Carolyn

I was thrilled to look at those amazing sculptures in the middle of a breathtaking landscape! I know very well what you mean that it is hard to do much on a scorcher day! Hope that your dentist problems have disappear dear Carolyn.

the flower house is beatiful but the mirror maze looks also interesting!
ReplyDeletehave a nice week!
Hello Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteWe should have loved to have seen this fabulous outdoor exhibition.
The monumental size of the sculptures is perfect for the vast spaces which they are placed in. And, such fun to be able to get really close and, almost, be a human part of the sculpture itself.
The mirror maze must have been extraordinary with all the reflections and the flashes of light. Rather daunting in the searing heat, we imagine. The Dandelion clocks are wonderful. Yes, we could have stolen them.....!
Such amazing pieces, I love the flower house especially, and the dandelions. They would be wonderful to have in a garden of your very own wouldn't they. I hope that all goes well with your poor tooth! xx
ReplyDeleteAmazing sculptures! Wonderful places and pictures. Thanks for sharing with us.

What a lovely exhibit! Glad you were able to enjoy it. I think seeing the flower house and dandelions in person would've made me so happy. Good luck with the new crown Carolyn!

Oh, that giant metal dandelion caught my eye, as I love dandelions! What a delightful outside exhibit. I love that picture of you by James Bond. Do you know he was the original James Bond? I was cleaning out the garage this weekend, and came across a picture of him. Have never given it away, cause he is the original and husband loves it. The Flowers of the Sky sculpture is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteHave a good rest of the week, Carolyn.
love, ~Sheri
Those sculptures really are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThese are amazing Carolyn! Now I would go for dandelions like that in my yard :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely day you have for an outing too. The skies are beautiful!
many hugs from me....
Hi Carolyn, What a wonderful walk with such interesting sculptures to view and enjoy. The mirrors are amazing. The day looks so beautiful there with your warm weather. It is so needed here to melt some of the snow on the east coast. We are sunny here in Texas but a little cooler then it's been of 80 degrees. So ready for springtime and a new season.
ReplyDeleteI hope your dental appt. goes well and your crown is set in place with great results. I've been going through the same thing and also had a root canal which is still sensitive. Sometimes it takes time for that to improve.
Wishing you well and have a nice week.
Blessings and Hugs,
CM
Hi Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this interesting sculpture garden! I love the dandelions and the flower house! Oh, and of course, Sean Connery <3 Hope your dental work turns out pain free. There is nothing worse than having a 'tooth-ache'! Hugs xo Karen
Oh wow! I would love to have seen those in person. What a fun place to visit!
ReplyDeleteDearest Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteIndeed I do hope the new crown will get fitted and make you feel fine from than on!
What a lovely walk with such fun artwork. Love the dandelions and also the flower home; great idea for having it red on the inside.
Sending you hugs and blessings,

I love this!! Those dandelions are gorgeous! Nothing better than art installations outside for all to enjoy! And best wishes on your tooth...I had one done a year ago so I know how it feels! Have a great week friend! Nicole xo

Hi Carolyn, I am sorry to hear you are having tooth trouble. It can be very painful.
ReplyDeleteI loved the sculptures by the see. The dandelion's were wonderful. Well they all were. We have them along one of our beaches every year for about 3 weeks and I always feel as though they should stay there permanently. They ones we have are for sale and because they are big and exquisite work they are quite pricey. Hugs Kay
Oh wow these are some incredible sculptures!! My favorite is the arrow in the hillside :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome exhibition! I'd love going there myself. The dandelions are my favorite, I want some for our garden :)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
Great pics, interesting exhibition... the walking around the mirrors is amazing!!!

ReplyDeleteLovely sculptures!
ReplyDeleteDear, dear Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteGood morning! You don't know how blessed I feel at this minute as I just looked over at my blog to see your comment. Thank you so much for all the lovely inspiration through out my seven years of blogging. I truly love it, but I had to decide to give it up to put my time elsewhere.....I have this crazy idea that I want to write poetry...hahahahahahahah....and it requires more reading time than I ever had to commit to. But now?I have plenty of time to devour the books I want and need to read, and I hope to venture out into other waters of writing. But you all, you always will mean the blogging world to me.
THOSE DANDELIONS! Oh my how glittery silver they are! Large sculptors as such are some of my favorites to behold.
Be well dearest one. I am still around, visiting when I can. LOVE! Anita
Amazing art!
ReplyDeleteLove the mirrors!

Good day to you, dear Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for coming over to meet little Peanut... Your kind words warmed my heart today.
blessings,

Que lindo que hayas disfrutado de tu paseo, saludos.
ReplyDeleteHello Carolyn, I absolutely love the dandelions and the ‘flowers of the sky’ and what a beautiful walk.
ReplyDeleteI’m having three new crows but when I went for what I assumed would be the final fitting the dentist told me there were problems with the impressions, and he had to do them again. He then said he was going on holiday until the 10th March, so I still have the temporaries. I don’t want to wish his holiday away – but I am! Barbara x
Thanks so much, from a shut in. Snow up to my A--.
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful way to spend a day. Got sick last night, worse today.
Touch base next week. yvonne
Hello Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteNow I want one of those flower houses for the garden. Love the different styles of sculptures. Hope the teeth settle down, have you heard of" oil pulling" you put a spoon of coconut oil in your mouth and swish around for approx 20 minutes, supposed to help.
Happy days.
Bev.
What a fabulous exhibition, Carolyn. I enjoyed the tour very much. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week! I hope your tooth pain will not come back.
Hugs,
Julia
Hi Carolyn, It was lovely to see those amazing sculptures. I love the dandelion and the flower house. There is nothing more miserable than having pains in the tooth hope you don't suffer before your return visit to the dentist. Sarah x
