Enjoy the little things

It has been really fun to come and visit your blogs and see how everyone is adding gorgeous Christmas touches to their homes.
Here, I have been a little slow and hope to get cracking next week so I will be able to share some of my home with you.

We have had our DD over for the night so have spent most of the weekend catching up with her and enjoying her company.
So glad we went for a walk yesterday as the weather is stormy and wet today.

With all the rain though it has made the hydrangeas flourish

Last week I got the sweetest gift from a dear friend from the Netherlands - thank you dear Ria

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying your weekend.
Have a lovely Sunday and wishing you a great week ahead
hugs
Carolyn

  2. Dearest Carolyn,
Well, with your sunny weather and roses abloom, it is a bit harder for thinking about Christmas decorations. But enjoy what you got during this special Advent season.
LOVE your roses set against the beautiful bee upholstery.
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  12. Good morning dear and old friend. I too have to get cracking on my décor! I fear however, with my job during the week and busy weekends that I can't get any photos of my home! I will try today!

I love the simplicity of your cloche. May peace fill your heart forever. Anita

  19. Dearest Caroly,
how wonderful that you could spend some time with your daughter - those days and nights get more and more precious, don't they?! For me who is living in a "Winter-Christmas-Country" it's a joy to see that you have wonderful hydrangeas blooming in the garden... But here in Austria the winter also didn't arrive yet - yesterday we had sunshine and it wasn't very cold - so we also went for a walk and enjoyed ist!
Warm hugs to you, my dear!
Sending lots of love and this "Advent-candle" to you:

  31. I’m so behind on my blog reading (and my posts!) after a long weekend away and all the Christmas preparations! I'm still adding just a few more festive touches to our home. That little tree under the glass is so pretty and cute. The hydrangeas look lovely and they are actually one of my favourite flowers!

  33. Carolyn,
It's the little things for sure that bring us so much pleasure in life. Ria is such a darling, and one of my favorites here in blogland. I love the little Christmas tree inside the glass cloche, and I look forward to seeing more of your Christmas décor. How nice that you got to spend time with your daughter. It has been raining a lot here too, but I'm loving it so much.

    Have a wonderful week, Carolyn.

  39. Hello Carolyn
Your hydrangeas look lovely. Ours are dry brown sticks now, but they were pretty in the summer. I can almost smell those gorgeous pink roses, and the gift from your friend is very sweet. I’ve just looked out of the window and noticed the Christmas roses are starting to flower alongside the primroses it won’t be long before the snowdrops are out. Have a lovely week Barbara xx
