Sombre colours

Just had to share one more post after looking through my photos,   taken on our sojourn.

We took a long walk in the afternoon, around the streets of Melbourne.  The grey sky hung low and although our feet were tired, we loved seeing more of the architectural details of the grand old buildings.
I hope you enjoy a few of the photos I captured along the way.

I love the muted, monochrome and moody colours of the old churches and buildings and they seemed to all blend perfectly into the overcast day.

Now for a little burst of colour -

When Pigs Fly! this little chap was very sweet

Thanks  for stopping by and I'm ever so grateful for your kind visits.
Happy weekend!
hugs
Carolyn

  1. Hello Carolyn,

We had blogging friends from Melbourne drop in to see us in Budapest whilst on their river cruise down the Danube. Hence, Melbourne seems rather closer than it did before. Your photographs give us interesting glimpses into what we believe to be a fascinating city to visit. We are sure that you will have enjoyed your time there.

  2. I must write that I am surprised to see that Melbourne has such architecture as on the 2 first shot, I always imagined that it has only very new and modern buildings, how stupid are our imaginations about unknown places:))) Have a nice weekend!

  27. Carolyn,
You always have such nice pictures of your travels. The little flying pig is funny, what a sight. The old churches always capture my heart too. When Nel and Jess travel, they often go to masses in these old churches with the incredible architecture. How special and interesting they are.

    love,
