Floral Friday ~ Flower Arrangements

From  pretty bluebells, or the elegant and exotic orchid, to a simple vase of pink tulips, all flowers are beautiful and can make a wonderful arrangement.

Flowers can bring a room to life and give it a romantic touch from the fresh white to the subtle pinks, blues and lavender...I do love all the soft hues.
Some flowers murmur in tones scarcely audible, but exquisitely soft and sweet..."I am little but I am beloved"
~George Sand

Flowers have a language of their own and sometimes they do not need to be displayed in a big showy arrangement. Often I think a single rose in a vase can make a lovely statement.
Flowers leave some of their fragrance in the hand that bestows them
~ Chinese proverb

Wishing you a great weekend, with lots of sunshine
Carolyn

  5. What flowers say to me, is they give there perfume to every one. Black, white male, female, children and old people. They never discriminate and it never runs out until the flower dyes.

  15. Good morning Carolyn my dear!

Would you believe that finally, at my age, I am enjoying the beauty of fresh flowers in my home? I was never one to ask for flowers or go out to buy them...but this summer, my husband randomly bought me a bouquet of pink roses that lasted for more than two weeks. I photographed them and I got my joy out of those! You all are so inspiring to me and have sparked so many hidden passions and talents in me that I owe so much of my new-found joy to you all. HUGS, Anita

  23. Oh what pretty pictures and what a fabulous idea for a hop! The other night, I brought my mom a vase full of zinnia blooms I grew from seeds. It was such a simple arrangement, but so pretty, all that bold color! Sigh!

  27. When I had access to a garden, I always put together a bouquet that had a bit of everything. And when entertaining, I was more organized...perhaps all one color, different flowers. I do miss my Michigan garden and so enjoy your bouquets!
    Have a lovely week, Carolyn!

  29. Lovely arrangments. I agree, the simpler, the better. I like fancier flowers once in awhile, but I really love something clipped from the yard and stuck in a glass jar. :)
