Sweet and simple things

Hope that you year is getting off to a bright start and all is going well.  It is the simple and sweet things around my home that bring me joy. I want to share a few photos to add some colour today, especially for those that are experiencing winter weather.

Ours started off well driving down country to a family wedding, nothing like all getting together and  spending a happy time with our family.
The wedding took place on the 3rd of January at this gorgeous place, Bellavista Lodge - my brother looked so proud walking his beautiful daughter down the aisle in the garden - Olivia and Todd, we wish you all the very best for the future, with love and happiness always.

Life here is getting back to normal and we have been doing all those things that need doing around the house.
We spent time out in the garden pulling out some weeds and cleaning up the outdoor area.
Hoping to go for a swim last week, we could only manage paddling  in the sea up to our ankles, after a shower of rain the night before, the water seemed too cold for this sookie.

We hosted a dinner party on Saturday night which was fun and we were able to sit outdoors and dine under the stars and by candlelight.
I loved how festive the house looked and  we only got around yesterday  to packing up the Christmas tree and decorations - I know it is a tad late,  and always feel a little sad when everything is packed away for next time and the house suddenly seems quiet and bare.
Have some projects lined up so hopefully will share soon.

As each day comes, remember to grab the joy in it.
Hope the goals and dreams that you plan for this year can come true.
