Something pretty for the weekend

I love white and looking back through some photos I have taken, just wanted to share a few whites today.
White is always  fresh looking and classic, from a crisp linen shirt, to a posy of white roses.

Last night we dined at a new Restaurant on the Island ... Frenchot ~ to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Twenty-eight years! my goodness how time flies.

The  French owners, the host, chef (waved to us when we walked in)  and the wait staff, who were all French, could not have been nicer, so friendly and the food very good from the pates for starters, to the mains, dd and I had the poitrine de porc and dh had the best confit de canard, and to finish off husband and I shared a creme brulee and dd had the panna cotta.  We had a lovely night out the food and company was great and we look forward to dinning out again here and recommending this place to our friends. We were even able to practise our J'voudrais and s'il vous plait.

Walking along the Viaduct the other day, the white hanging baskets made such a pretty show outside the restaurant ' Soul' ... a nice place for a summer lunch.

Hope you are all having a happy weekend.
We have a holiday here - tomorrow it is Auckland Anniversary day and Monday is a day off.
hugs
Carolyn
