Pink roses ~ joy today

The pink roses were beautiful when fresh, but love how they look now, all dried and turned to a dusky pink, with a vintage look.

I  just dried them in the vase and I did not even need to hang them upside down like I normally do.

More than anything I must have flowers always, always
~ Monet
Today it is another beautiful and sunny day and it reminds me to be thankful.

Thank you for coming by my friend and for new followers, welcome and I really appreciate  those that are kind enough to leave a little note.
Hope you are having a beautiful week

hugs
Carolyn

  7. Thank you for letting me see the beauty of a faded bouquet of roses. I also love the cut blomer in my home. Right now we can buy daffodils and they are so cheap that I can always have 3 fresh bouquets, the smells very mild but clearly.
Yes the sun is life-giving. Have a nice day.

  14. Good morning sweet Carolyn!

I tell you, I cannot wait for spring now! We just got a blast of snow yesterday. We really needed it, but it is hard on the roads and getting around! I want to plant a climbing rose bush on the side of our house. How lovely would that be!

    Enjoy your day! Anita

  19. Your roses look so lovely and how wonderful to keep them for a longer period. Did you just put them in a vase with no water to dry them?

  20. I don't remember when I dried flowers last time. Those little pleasures seem to escape among other 'important' daily stuff. Maybe it's time to bring back the tradition :)

Thank you for your lovely comments, have a fabulous day! x

  25. Good morning dearest Carolyn!

Thank you for your anniversary wishes! It was fantastic. It was simple but so sweet. My husband wrote the most beautiful poem and we went out to our favorite GROCERY STORE after a bit of fun, and the cashier gave me my choice of flowers to pick from their flower dept....for FREE! I got myself a lovely bunch of white tulips....AHhhh....I love them so!

Have a super day sweet one! Anita

  34. Dear Carolyn, my mom is a master when it comes to cut flowers. She always has fresh cut flowers at home and almost every rose bouquet is dried. She has a cabinet where she displays the dried flowers.;)
When I got married last year, it was at the city hall and the only people present -except for the clerk (and the city hall employees as witnesses)- were me and my husband. He nevertheless bought me a stunning bridal bouquet and I could not bear that fact that it only played a role for 30 minutes. So I have dried it and it still looks lovely a year on. I hope it will keep forever.
Have a great weekend dear friend,
    xoxo
