A joy on a winters day

Time to show off my camellias  ~
These are such a joy in the winter garden and every year I can't wait until they make a grand appearance.

To wear rose coloured glasses and see the world for all its beauty, little treasures and everyday pleasures. In winter we need to refuse to let the cold dampen our spirit and instead see cloudy days as a grey canvas, in which to make colour  in our life... today I have painted white on my canvas.

Be the planter of Camellias ~ the perfect symbol of pureness,   passion and perfection.

Whether you are basking in glorious summer days, or like us in the Southern Hemisphere, going through winter, ~ enjoy.

Here's to another great week, wishing you a fabulous one!
Hugs
Carolyn

  1. Dear Carolyn,
I have always wanted to grow camellias, but the heat here would not be good for them.. Today is was 110 in the shade.. Even my roses are asking for a little cool air. Yours are just exquisite!!!
    Wishing you a beautiful week.
    Blessings,

  3. Oh Carolyn

I love your camellia - what sheer joy to find such exquisite flowers to cut and bring inside.

Just imagine - without winter we would have no camellias.....
I love the change in seasons for the varied flowers they bring - oh wondrous nature!

So cold today - keep warm dear Carolyn!

  4. Your camellia is so pretty Carolyn and I agree that, regardless of season, we should take note of the little pleasures in life. There is something peaceful about winter.. nature as it sleeps preparing for spring.

  11. HERE HERE CAROLYN! I love these beautiful flowers and YOUR ATTITUDE! Winter's grip does not have to bite; we can create on any canvas when we put all our effort into it! Your summer is coming! Ours is waning, but in beautiful style. The days are cooler but nonetheless BRIGHT and beautiful.

Thank you dear friend for coming to visit. Anita

  15. I have left my camelias in my old garden... they were a present from my hubby, and I reluctantly had to let them go. But who knows? Maybe other wonderful camelias are waiting for me in a glorious new garden!
    Big hugs!
