Pretty in pink

Pink roses are my favourite and I often like to take home some flowers, to brighten up the house.
I remember reading, that Elton John had big bouquets of flowers delivered to his home every week and although mine are just a little bunch of roses, they make me very happy seeing them.

These shots were taken with my iphone, as I was walking along a street in Ponsonby yesterday ... I always admire these two quaint houses when I pass by them and they had such pretty street appeal, with lavender and roses growing in the front gardens.

If you enlarge the photo you can see all the little rose hips

I just love these pink magnolia trees that were blooming, all along the streets of the Newmarket shopping center. The flowers remind me of a pretty pink organza ball gown.

Wishing you all a very lovely weekend
Hugs
Carolyn

  7. My grandmother (who used to live next door to us) had a gorgeous (and HUGE) magnolia tree in her garden. It was a delight to see in bloom.
I miss having a home with a garden...an apartment has its advantages, but I wish I could go out and pick blooms for my home every day.
Have a lovely flower-filled weekend, Carolyn!

  22. Hi Carolyn!

The pink toe shoes are perfect sitting along side the beautiful roses! I share your love for roses and bought a dozen white roses yesterday. I too have heard that E John purchases lots of fresh flowers.. I think he places some in each room.. yikes! that's pricey!

Such pretty, quaint homes near-by. Thank you for sharing and also for always stopping by to say hi.
