Out and about in Sydney

It's been a busy weekend, so I'll leave you with a few pictures of Sydney
I love the Paddington terrace houses and all the very old buildings
We are home after having a wonderful time, feeling good, but tired and there are all those things that need doing  ... unpacking, and laundry  when you get back, from being away.

Thanks for stopping by. Wishing you all a happy week

Hugs
Carolyn

  4. Dear Carolyn

What beautiful images of Sydney - love those old ferries and the lacework on the old terraces!

Yes, that's the downside - a lovely weekend stay in a nice hotel - then once home it's back to the same old chores! Worth it tho!

  20. Hi Carolyn, glad to hear you had a great trip. Travelling is so nice but then there is always much to do upon the return. My girlfriend's son left yesterday for Australia where he will be attending college. She sent me a message today and said she can't stop crying and misses him already. Wishing you a great rest of the week. Tammy

  22. Dearest Carolyn,

Yes, my brother was airlifted by helicopter to a good hospital and after keeping him sedated for two days they let him regain consciousness and my sister-in-law could talk with him. His head is okay; thank goodness. They will operate on his pelvic bone on Thursday and put some plate in there. His shoulder had been brought back into condition and is fixed so he only can move his left hand. They will look at it later if he needs surgery or not. Hope the tendons, nerves and muscles will get back to normal function again. The horse had to be euthanized on the spot by a vet... Tomorrow Elly hopes to get a hold of the police officer who was at the scene first, he was in court today so she couldn't meet with him. But Elly sounded relieved and this is after all positive news. Sure, a lot of time, rehab etc. will await him but he's fine, besides the pain. They keep him drugged up pretty good.

Love to you (I'm translating some heavy German technical document into English... takes all my time right now),

    Mariette

Your weekend reminds me of my harbor cruise in Sydney for an 18 year old daughter of a mushroom grower/friend we celebrated in the 90s. That was so lovely!
