Out in my garden

This is what is flourishing in my garden today ~ we had a gentle shower of rain this morning when I went out.
I love the way the raindrops formed on the camellia flower
I was excited to see two ripe strawberries on the plant,  when I went back to pick them a bird had pecked away and all that was left was the stalk, so I reckon that the bird needed them more than I did.
Hope that there might be more to come and will have to be quicker next time
Can you see the bumblebee getting the nectar from the flowers on the lemon tree?
I often wonder how they fly, they seem so big.

I am sorry for being such a bad blog friend these days.
I want to thank you for your kindness in visiting my blog and I  look forward to coming to say hello and see what you are up to.

All is dandy here, life just seems to be busy.
Yesterday I made a trip to visit my hairdresser and I love the transformation, when you walk out feeling like a new person.
I hope that your week is smooth sailing so far ~ it is almost the weekend!

Happy Thursday
Hugs
Carolyn

  1. Hello Carolyn!

What lovely photos! We still are having nice weather here. It's in the 70s during the day but the leaves are falling and the mornings and nights are chilly. I am not looking forward to winter. I will pretend I am living in your part of the world where summer is approaching!!

  2. Dearest Carolyn,

So glad to read your lovely post full of blooms and wonders of spring! We need that right now. Today I was lucky for having some roses from my beloved Grandmother to show off in my post.
Your Camellia is picture perfect and so is the rest. Fresh strawberries, home grown... yummy.
Enjoy every minute of it as time goes so fast.
    Love to you,

  6. Dear Carolyn,
The flower is absolutely gorgeous!!! Blessed you.

Our Kansas wind is howling and it's raining. Very cold out. Expecting snow tonight.

I'm having a time getting use to the idea of it getting cold.

I'll be thinking about you when wishing it was summer here.

    God bless,

Love your photo's! Your roses & lavender look beautiful. My garden has finally gone to sleep. I picked my last Dahlia's and sweet peas last weekend. We have to wait four more months before the first flowers appear again. I enjoy looking at your photo's now!!

  21. I have never seen so many camellias in my life, as I have seen from visiting your blog! :) Another reason why I think you may be Coco Chanel's biggest fan! :)

  22. Hi Carolyn! Oh, sigh, how wonderful to have camellias right now! I just missed them in Chile and now, of course, it's autumn back home.

I think Santiago is a bit ahead of you, or else they went straight into summer without much spring! :) But still, it's a delight to see what's growing in your garden and dream of spring to come. And I've felt the same about the birds and our cherries – they need them more than we do. :)

    Happy weekend to you!

  46. Hi Carolyn,
I have the same problem with my Strawberry plant. I'll see them blooming well one day, and the next totally eaten by our little winged friends. I guess I have to be greatful that they don't eat the leaves too! ;) Have a wonderful week!

    Your garden looks so beautiful...
I envy you, as we were hit with a crazy, unexpected blizzard at the end of October and all the remaining flowers from the season are now gone. It's so sad to see their beauty disappear...till next year. :)
    Wishing you a beautiful week~

  48. Hi Carolyn,
Your flowers are lovely and you capture them so beautifully with your camera. The little bee is precious. I know you are enjoying this new birth time of year. Your garden must be just bursting with springtime blooms. We still have roses blooming, lots of mums and the pansies are doing well. Still warm days and cool nights. We were so ready for this after our very hot summer.

Yes, getting one's hair done is uplifting and renewing. I know you look gorgeous.

Thank you for stopping by and your kind comments. I have missed you and visiting while off line but so glad to be back up and running.

Have a wonderful week and Happy Spring.
    Love to you, Celestina Marie

  53. Hello Carolyn,

What beautiful pictures! I almost didn't want to look because I knew I would get that "spring fever" feeling and we are just in the middle of Autumn! I think it's the fresh strawberries and bumble bees that get to me the most.

Enjoy your new hair and your pretty gardens. Both grow way to fast ....and in my case get a little weedy lol!

    Have a great week.

    Love & hugs ~ Jenn
