A little kindness

Country living
A day is more beautiful when kindness and laughter touches it.

I can't remember where I got this from, ... it may have been Mary Ruffle

Have you ever been planning to do something and find your plans change?
I started some sewing, I was making a black and white tweed winter suit, when my bobbin winder broke on my sewing machine. This was very frustrating as I now have to wait until it comes back from the repair shop.

Hope that you are having a wonderful week
Hugs
Carolyn

  1. Hi Carolyn, sorry about your sewing project coming to a standstill. I know how frustrating that can be. I have 2 sewing machines here in my cupboard.
Wish we lived closer, then you could borrow one of mine and have some kindness in your day!

Hope much kindness and laughter comes your way this week. You deserve it for all those lovely posts you write for us.

  6. Oh dearest friend, I felt that way yesterday.I set out to WRITE. I sat there all day long to no avail. Like you, I had to put MYSELF in the shop and just READ and fill up. It will come, but for now, I am forcing to much...maybe like those days when I sewed and tried to force the needle into the fabric and just broke the needle! We all need time to recharge.....sending you wishes for a successful day, Anita

Oh, YES, this happens quite a bit with me. So frustrating when you have a project that you want to work on and something derails it. I hope it doesn't take too long to get repaired!

It's been in the 100s this week, difficult time concentrating on work :)

  11. Adoro la prima frase, tutti dovrebbero avere risate e dolcezza nelle loro giornate, così anche se i piani cambiano si riuscirebbe a coglierne la parte migliore più facilmente!^^

  12. Hello Carolyn.
Life throws me curve balls all the time and I don't always handle it very well. Human and all.

I will try to email you again to get your bacon wrapped meatloaf recipe. I was on my husband's computer and it is tricky sending emails out. Will try again. I'd like your recipe. Please.

May your beautiful winter suit come to completion soon. I know it will be lovely when completed!

  15. Oh kind friend, how wonderful to see your comment as I am on a little break in between MOVIES tonight! I THOUGHT OF YOU as I was watching FINDING NEVERLAND with Johnny Depp; in one of the scenes, one of the characters was holding the most darling vintage teddy bear and I thought of your work...I will need to shop soon on your site and consider a bear. Thank you for your kind words....I am constantly spinning ideas in my head, but oh, WHERE DO I BEGIN?

Much love to you on this rainy night in Minnesota...now off to see another inspiring movie! Anita

  16. Dearest Carolyn,

Oh, I have that all the time... Depending on what you run into during the day you start mending something or eather cleaning up something and 'gone' is your time and day. But that is life and in a way it keeps it interesting for not knowing exactly how each day winds down...

    Lots of love,

    Mariette

  25. Hi Carolyn, this is a lovely post to start my evening to. Lately I find myself planning things but ending my days having nothing fixed from the things I planned... I hope it will be just a period. I so crave Summer break, no more looking at the clock for a couple of weeks and doing the things we love to do!
Have a happy Friday and a wonderful weekend, sweet friend o xx o xx o

  32. Carolyn, I sympathize with you on the sewing project. For me, I need to sew when I am in the mood. It is so very frustrating when something goes awry with the machine. Hopefully, the shop will fix it very soon and you can get back to sewing.

Sending you lots of love, kindness and laughter.

  33. Hi Carolyn,
I would lend you my machine to finish your suit. It sounds like it will be gorgeous. I know how frustrating it is when doing a project and you have to stop due to a breakdown etc. I received a bobbin winder from my hubby for Christmas a few years back and just love it. I can fill a bobbin separate from the machine and it saves so much time.
Anyway, I hope you get it back from the repair shop quickly and can get back to your designing.

Thank you always for stopping by and your kind comments. I am always happy to see you.
    have a great week.
    XOXO Celestina Marie
