Next stop Paris!

We caught the Eurostar train from London's, St. Pancras station and went through the Chunnel in the high speed train and arrived at the Gare Du Nord.
The passenger train travels beneath the English Channel, through the famous Channel Tunnel.
The trip takes about 2 hours 15 minutes to complete the journey of around 300 miles and is a comfortable and fast way to travel.

Sorry if either of the photos are you, but just wanted to take a photo of the Station and train.

We stayed the first night at the address of 25 Champs Elysees, behind the big doors

Next time I will show you this amazing Palace.

Have a happy week
Hugs
Carolyn

  29. Oh, those doors! They remind me of the great doors to the Emerald City of Oz!

The one time I was in London, my husband and I decided to take a day trip to Paris and took the Eurostar. Unfortunately, the train broke down and we got stuck in the chunnel for several hours. Boy, did we ever have a whirlwind mega-quick tour of Paris!

  39. Wow Carolyn! I've always thought it would be a bit scary being in the Chunnel underwater for so long. I know it's not, but I'm a scardey cat - haha! Can't wait to see more of your stay on the Champs Elysees - how decadent!

  40. I took the same train! I took the Eurostar from Lille (north of France) to London! I went to Lille after I went to Paris! :)

  41. The immigration check at the Eurostar station is rather strict to non-EU nationals, isn't it? They asked me questions, like why I was going to London, where I was staying, etc, I don't know if you got the same trouble going to France from London, but I got questioned going to London from France!

  42. oh what a journey! I hope you enjoy Paris!
