Black Books

There is something I adore about London and that is the quaint old shops.
We were walking along when we spotted this one and it reminded me so much of the small book shop, named Black Books that was owned by Bernard.

We used to enjoy watching the series with the hilarious trio made up of Manny, { Bill Bailey } Bernard {Dylan Moran } and Fran { Tamasin Greig } do you know the show?

A few year back, one Friday my husband and I were sitting at Euro in Auckland and enjoying the great long leisurely lunch, overlooking the water.
Who should walk by, but Dylan Moran with his wife and pushing a baby in a stroller.
I wanted to get his autograph and found a little pad in my handbag, so he kindly did the honours for our daughter Victoria, who is also a fan.

This Irish comedian, writer, and actor was so funny and we had a lot of laughs at his stand up comedy show that night.

Wishing you all a wonderful week full of love and happiness.
Hugs
Carolyn

  4. Hi Carolyn, I do prefer quaint and unique shops rather than the big malls of today. One of a kind items are so much nicer than all the over manufactured things you find in this day and age. Hope that you are enjoying nice weather and have a beautiful week. Best wishes, Tammy

  18. Hi Carolyn,
I don't know the show, but it must have been a thrill to meet Dylan.
I love bookstores like this and they are fast dissappearing over here in the US as the mega bookstores take over. It is so sad to see. There is something special (I think it's the smell of the books)about the small family owned shops.
I hope you have a great week friend.
    sending hugs
