Out and about in Chelsea

Treat yourself to some pretty flowers.
What's behind the green door?

Maybe buy a cupcake, from Peggy Porschen's pink cake shop

As you can see by the photographs, there was a lack of blue in the sky, but we had a fun walk, looking at the shops and buildings about. Sorry about the glare from the shop windows.

Have a beautiful week
Hugs
Carolyn

  4. Oh darling Carolyn, first of all thank you for coming again to visit my hope for spring; we are having a snow storm that has not stopped since YESTERDAY! We have broken the record for snow fall this year. 74 inches total for the winter. We did go out however, but the snow plows here really keep on top of everything. NOW....this is a divine post. Though I have never been to London, this is a place I have to go to when I go back to France. Look at those shops. I so love to peruse the streets, just stare, let my imagination go wild and enjoy the sights. You have allowed me to do so tonight as I sit here having come in from the cold. Enjoy your day sweet friend and I so look forward to more PHOTOS SOON! Bises, Anita

  5. I am so envious... what a lovely day, experiencing all these beautiful and fun shops. I do love that pink cupcake shop. Makes me want a cupcake - though I am sure mine would not be as good or as pretty.:)

    Have a wonderful week!

  6. Carolyn,

Are you and your family okay? I don't know how close you are to Christchurch but they just interrupted the news about the 6.5 earthquake in Christchurch.

  7. Thanks for visiting my blog.

Marsha, I am listening to the news and it is just awful what I am hearing. Because the quake was around the lunch hour, and a lot of people were out in the City, there have been fatalities and two buses have been crushed by buildings. The damage seems so much worse than the September quake.
This one was much more shallow.
People are trapped in lifts, traffic is grid locked, so it is an awful time for Christchurch.

Christchurch is down the South Island and I live in the North Island.
My prayers and thoughts go out to all the people of Christchurch.

    Hugs
    Carolyn

  11. Carolyn, is this in London?? My x-husband is planning to move to New Zealand, so I am trying to help him find information on moving there, if this is New Zealand, this is so beautiful!!!!!! :) But I'm sure that even if this is London, New Zealand would still be beautiful! :) Could you tell me a little about life in NZ? Like cost of living, etc? Because the cost of living in Australia is horrendous! Oh my god!!! Two times that of the UK!!

  19. Dear Carolyn

Dreadful news we woke up to here this morning re the disaster in Christchurch. So much suffering & loss of life. And so soon after the earlier one too. South Island seems to be having so much bad luck at the moment.

Hope you continue to be safe in N Island!

    XOXO Lola & Nora:)

PS Peter Jones Dept store (part of the John Lewis chain) is separate from the DD man - though I'm sure he wouldn't mind some of their profits!

So scary about the earthquake, was there are family or friends close to it? It must be very hard being far away from them at times like this.

  38. It looks like a great neighborhood. It must be one of the more popular London neighborhoods because even I've heard of it! I love the architecture.

I am so glad to hear you and your family are safe. Earthquakes can be so very scary. You just never know what fate has in store for you, we must make the moments count.
