Happy Halloween

On Hallowe'en the thing
you must do
Is pretend that nothing
can frighten you
An' if somethin' scares you
and you want to run
Jus' let on like
it's Hallowe'en fun.
- - - from an Early Nineteenth Century Halloween Postcard

Over here in New Zealand, we do not really celebrate Halloween.
So I am taking this time to wish my friends that go out trick and treating,... a very happy Evening and lots of fun.

I hope that you are having a wonderful weekend.
The weekend for me, has been lovely, but really it has gone too quickly.
It is now Sunday afternoon and there is dinner to get started and ironing to do.
I look forward to coming over to visit your blogs soon and many thanks for visiting me.

Hugs
Carolyn

  1. What a wonderful vignette, Carolyn!

I "treated" myself today! I bought a witchy doll! I've been eyeing her for over a month now and today was my lucky day, she was 50 percent off! No TRICK, LOL

  3. Hello Carolyn...
Love your little doll and lovely accessories. So pretty.
We are back from a holiday...I will be updating in a day or so.

We don't really do much either...so very few children in this area...our little grandson will come over for a little while and get his treats.

    Have a happy day!
    Hugs, Nancy

  18. Happy Halloween Carolyn (although halloween is probably nearly over in NZ now). I hope the weather is warming up for you.
Here in the Uk its grey/damp, but mild.
Just wanted to say that I'm enjoying your posts and have loved looking at your pics of NZ. I have relatives in Wellington and have been twice, but not since 1990 (when I was 15 years old!. Would love to come back one day when the pennies permit!)
Have a lovely start to the new week,
