My new Canon camera

I am doing the happy dance here, I am blessed to have an incredible husband who bought me this wonderful Canon SLR camera, for an early Christmas present. My Grandfather had a love of photography and was always taking photographs, so I seem to have inherited a little of his love of this hobby.
Have yet to get my husband to load up the program so I can download the photos to my computer. So I have been busy snapping photos and will need to read up on the three books that came with the camera.

These photos were just taken with my iphone on the way back from Australia. I love looking out the window, seeing all the puffy white clouds and beautiful blue sky. We flew Air New Zealand on the way back home and notice the Koru symbol on the wing.
The Koru symbol is the Maori word for the new unfurling fern frond.
The pattern is used in many Maori and NZ art forms and symbolizes new life, regeneration, growth, strength and peace.

I was lucky to receive a wonderful gift from the lovely, talented Diana, of dianaevans.blogspot.com
Go and visit her and see her fabulous illustrations, her creative work and has written some books.

I hope that you have a nice week fulled with joy and happiness and the sun shines for you.
Hugs
Carolyn

  2. Oh how lovely for you Carolyn - It looks like you have a super one too - I have the Canon 500D and adore it - I would really like to do a photography course to find out more about it and I really am a novice photographer. Blogging and Photography somehow go hand in hand. They tell a thousand stories.
    Enjoy enjoy enjoy! x

I don't dare look out the window of an airplane at night, tee hee, I don't know if there will be a creature on the wing as in an old Twilight Zone episode with William Shatner I believe.

    What wonderful treats you received!
