Wishing you a wonderful weekend

Country Living

We went to a funeral yesterday of a dear old Lady who had lived on the Island.
She was in her 80's and was always an inspiration, and until recently she had played golf, bridge, tended to her wonderful garden and did spinning and weaving and many other handcrafts. Even heard that she used to take her knitting in to the theater, while she watched a movie.
We can learn so much from people like her, as she made every day count.

Time is amazingly fair and forgiving.
No matter how much time we have wasted in the past, you still have an entire tomorrow.
Let's make the most of it.

  1. We should all live as she did, enjoy every moment.

I am so happy to hear Lisa is home!

My niece Jennifer just called, she's in the hospital. They're going to induce labor. Say a prayer that it all goes well. This is her first and she's 40. She and baby are healthy. I just pray she has an easy delivery. His name will be Vincent :)

Thank you Sares, and wishing you all the best with your new venture ~ I do hope that it goes well for you.

    Dear Julia,

I really hope that we can be still doing our crafts when we are old.
I think that it is keeping busy and active that makes one feel happy.
    Have a wonderful weekend.

Thank you Sharon, for visiting me today and we are glad that Lisa has made a good recovery and back home.
Looking forward to coming to visit you.

    Dear Nora and Lola,

Great motto to live by and yes, we do not know what is around the next corner.
Sorry to hear about the storms you are experiencing and do hope that the weather improves.

thanks very much Jeanne and enjoy your weekend.

Many thanks Gwendolyn and we can learn a lot from those that have lived a happy and productive life.

    Hi Pamela,

I think that it is really amazing I have heard of people still active and driving at 100 years old.
I am like you have done knitting on the ferry and places but I would draw the line at the theater ~ the click clack might be a bit annoying for the people sitting nearby.

    Dear Suzi,

Sorry to hear that you are feeling a little blue and glad that my post was able to give you a lift.
Sending a hug and I hope that your weekend is going well.

    Hugs
    Carolyn.
