Pretty pink for Saturday

Thank you for visiting me last time and for the offer some of your gave, with sending over the rain you have been having.
We have still not had any and it is sweltering hot here.
As I walked past this pretty David Austin rose, it gave off the most beautiful fragrance so just had to share with you.
Mary Ruffle

I feel like one of these to keep cool and may go for a swim in the sea later.
I hope that you are having a great weekend and want to say thank you for your friendship and I look forward to coming to visit you all soon.

  1. That yummi pink icecream will make you feel cooler.

  2. What a beautiful rose and that ice cream cone looks delish!!! I'm having mint chocolate chip as I type this!

    Happy "pink" Saturday!

  3. We had a few days break here in "sunny" California, but now the rain is back. I do wish we could share some with you! The rose is really lovely--I am really missing mine about now. Have a beautiful weekend.

  4. Hi Stefani,

We have just been for a drive and I got a yummy tropical fruju iceblock which cooled me down.

    Hi Marsha,

That is one of my favourites, mint and chocolate chip ~ yummy!

Thank you so much Jermaine and I hope that you are having a splendid weekend.

  5. Too much rain in South Africa and when it isn't raining it is too hot. Enough now! My sympathies are with you Carolyn.

    Pat xx

  6. That was so lovely about the's the simple things isn't it.

Mmmm I could go for one of those icecreams too, lucky you being near the sea.

    Pink is my favorite colour
    Love you

  8. Hi Carolyn;

just sent an e-mail to you about post issue at PAPERGIRL. Just in case you don't get it can you please click this link and let me know if this is the page you saw: ...If not you probably clicked the image, but if so I have some issue to resolve.

Happy Pink Saturdy by the way... Of course you know "Roses" are my favorite flower -- lovely.

  9. A friendship with you. The pleasure's all on my side, Carolyn...

  10. Hi Carolyn:

I fixed the problem... This template does not jog exactly with Blogger, little bugs do pop up, but it is just figuring away round them. So I just took away the word verification, and now the comment page is working fine... selecting any other way to post made this tiny funny little box... just one of the bugs. But worth it for me to have this simple format I desire.

Thanks for drawing my attention to the problem.

    have a great day!

  11. Such gorgeousness dear Carolyn! You couldn't post prettier for me :-) Thanks a lot!

Hope you having a lovely weekend, cheers: Evi

  12. Any rain YET Carolyn??? My gosh girl, I hope ya'll are not turning into weeds soon. If only we could give you some of this rain that we've been having. We are having a cold wet winter so far.
Hope you get some of the wet stuff soon~
    everything vintage

ps...that ice cream cone sure does look good even though it's 40 degrees here! ;)

  13. Oh how I love roses! I have the David Austin spring catalog and I want to order one of every rose! They are all so beautiful. Stay cool!

  14. Happy Pink Saturday, It's more snow here today, so that ice cream cone isn't needed, but it still looks realy yummy.

  15. Thank you for the beautiful vision of your pink rose AND scent-o-vision from you Rose! Roses, lovely!
    Have fun swimming!

  16. Hi Carolyn!
Those fooled me at first they looked like camellias!!!Very pretty colors.....Lovin the pinkness!!!!Maryanne:)

  17. Hi: Your rose is beautiful. It is not rose season for us. I miss them. I want to thank you for praying for me. You are a dear friend. Blessings, Martha

  18. That rose is so plump and gorgeous! We had a dreary gray day here so I was happy to stay indoors. The wind has kicked up and it has gotten colder. We really haven't had a winter yet. Will be a shock to everyone if it comes now, but you just never know what tomorrow will bring. Doing a little rain dance for you. Hope you enjoyed the swim. Blessings, Tammy

  19. Yummy ice cream!!
    Happy Pink Saturday!
    Hugs, Lisa

    Hi Kim,

Aren't they just the best and the part that I also love is that they actually have a beautiful fragrance, which a lot of the new varieties don't have.

    Hi TattingChic,

It does look yummy doesn't it!

Happy pink Saturday to you Karen and do stay warm with the snow about.

Thank you very much Mary for your visit.

    Hi Maryanne,

The David Austin old fashioned roses have such lush petals and plenty of them and I can see why you thought they may have been a camellia. Many thanks for your visit.

Thank you Martha and I really hope that everything will be fine with you. Blessings to you, dear friend.

Many thanks Tammy and I think sometimes on the dreary gray days it is so good to get some crafty things done.
