Welcome November!

A day is too precious to let it pass by unnoticed.
Each evening it is nice to set aside a minute to think what we have done that day and many times I think I have not really done very much. I probably need to try a little harder tomorrow.

If you sit down at set of sun
And count the acts that you have done,
And counting, find
One self-denying deed, one word
That eased the heart of him who heard,
One glance most kind
That fell like sunshine where it went -
Then you may count that day well spent.
~George Eliot

Down at my old Family home, the orange and lemon trees were laden with wonderful fruit.
It is lovely to be able to go out, pick fruit off the trees and enjoy it.
There are also apple trees, one of which was a new French apple tree, that my Father had planted just before he went into hospital.
We brought the tree back to our place, and yesterday DH planted it in the garden.
I am looking forward to the day when we can go out and pick, a delicious juicy apple off the tree.

Many thanks for your kind words you left for me and also for visiting my daughter's blog.

Happy week
Hugs
Carolyn

  6. Beautiful yellows, Carolyn. And that apple tree is going to bring you so much in the years to come.

I have so many days when I think I have not done very much. But I still seem to be tired at the end of the day. Doing nothing is tiring. :)

I have some awards for you, dear friend. No pressures.

  11. Hello Carolyn, pretty thoughts... sometimes instead of doing I like just being, but being in the doing... our days are so bussy.
It´s so nice you have planted that apple tree, there´s nothing better than harvesting your own fruits.
