Yellow Mellow.

Today something tells me, that I needed to do a yellow post.
First my husband came home with these lovely yellow tulips that look so beautiful in a vase in the kitchen.
It was pouring with rain, so they added a little bit of brightness to a dull day outside.
We decided to go out for a drive and have a coffee and when I saw some more yellow, I got DH
to stop and take a photo.
I spotted this lineup of bright little hire scooters, probably driven by some holidaymakers, sheltering from the rain, in one of the cafes.

Do you ever stop to take photos and then see someone is looking at you and probably wondering why you are taking photos of some scooters!... Oh they are for my blog.

I hope that you are having a great week

  1. I love the yellow tulips your sweet husband bought you! Hope they made your day!

  2. So cheerful, Carolyn! love the tulips and the blouse!

  3. Oh I love it, yellow is so happy. Great to see Angelina in some colour too!

Hope your week is going great too,

  4. What beautiful tulips - one of my favourite flowers! And as for snapping, I've only once been asked not to - by a gentleman in SE Asia who didn't want to be included in a group pic in oder not to lose his soul!

Hope you're having a great day!

    xxLOL LOLA:)
PS thanks for all the lovely comments!

  5. Oh, my dear Carolyn, I wish I new how to bring sun your way. It really gets invasive in here.
Today, clouds are hiding him, but still no rain. This Summer is very dry here.
I really love these photos on your post. I never saw a yellow road before : so strange!

    Enjoy your tulips!

    Lots of love,

  6. What a bright, cheerful, sunny post. I love the road - it goes well with the scooters.

  7. Carolyn! I was reading so intently about your photos...
The tulips from your husband, then the scooters lined up in front of the cafe and I was waiting to read how you almost bumped right into Angelina Jolie!!! But I guess it's just a flickr pic right? tee hee!
Hope you enjoyed your Mellow Yellow day and the rain lets up on ya a little bit!!!
    Have a good weekend girlie~

Yellow is such a cheeful and bright colour.

    Hi DJ,

You do not see Angelina in anything but black usually, so I was quite surprised seeing her in a little
    yellow number.

    Hi Nora and Lola,

That is so funny that the gentlemen did not want you to take his photo.
When we were in Fiji, some of the people were reluctant to have any photos.

    Hi Sophie,

Spring is on its way and really a wet day is good for the garden and plants and our water tank.
I have never ever seen a yellow road either, I prefer tarseal myself.

    Hi Dolores,

Yes, it would have been fun to see the scooters driving along the yellow road.

Jodie, no sightings of Angelina on our little Island and yes, it was a flickr photo. teehee.
I did enjoy my yellow mellow day, thank you.

Amazing yellows... so bright and vivid, you took some great photos, girl! I know what you mean about people wondering what we're up to! Next time, we could take a picture of them looking at us with a puzzled face! (Hehehe)... :)

  21. Hi Carolyn,
Love, love, love the yellow photos! I once was taking photos of some ducks but there was an apartment across the street behind them. The people there kept coming out and looking at me as my camera appeared to be pointed at them (not sure they saw the ducks). That was awkward!
    Sharon :-)

I was told by someone at the Supermarket, if you put a little pin prick under the bulb - they will last much longer in a vase. I wonder if anyone has heard this before?
