Enjoy your weekend

It has been a busy week for me and I meant to write a little note before I left.

My dear Father had to go into hospital on the 10th to have a prostate operation so I went down to keep Mum company and look after her.
It is so sad when your Parents are getting older and not as fit and able as they once were. You might remember, my Mother fell and broke her hip about 2 months ago.

It was lovely to see them both and we went and got Dad from hospital on Friday and he was so happy to be home and with Mum again.

Quote of the day ~

the answers aren't in the back"

Charlie Brown.

Have a happy weekend.

  1. Hello, Wishing your Dad a speedy recovery. Yes, it is hard getting old. Prostate issues are quite common it seems, in older men. My Uncle on my Dad's side just found our he has Prostate Cancer and my Dad had an operation about 8 years ago. We are hoping my Uncle receives a speedy operation in the New Year.

  3. Hi Carolyn...Thank-you so much for visiting. Oh dear, you have had a busy time of it with your parents. Hopefully now, they will be fine for awhile. I agree...it is hard to see them becoming less able to do things on their own...they are fortunate to have a daughter that will help them. I always want to be as independent as I can for as long as I can...but when the time comes that I need more help, I hope my children are as willing and able.

Hope you have a lovely weekend!
    Hugs, Nancy
